Bristow, Beta to evaluate low-emissions aircraft in Norway

Norway‘s Civil Aviation Authority and Avinor, a wholly owned state limited company under the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications, have signed an agreement with Bristow Norway AS and Beta Technologies to conduct demonstration flights establishing Norway as an international test arena for zero- and low-emission aviation. The agreement calls for Bristow Norway to conduct cargo flights without passengers using Beta‘s Alia CX300 conventional takeoff and landing aircraft.

(Reuters) – Airlines for America will urge members of the US House of Representatives during a Mar. 4 hearing to permanently reduce helicopter traffic around Washington Reagan National Airport (KDCA) following a midair collision involving a US Army helicopter and a regional jet in January.
