The National Agricultural Aviation Association safety campaign is reminding ag pilots to keep an eye on fuel levels after hearing from the US National Transportation Safety Board that two agricultural aviation accidents in 2025 appear to have resulted from fuel exhaustion.

The FAA is accepting comments on this proposed airworthiness directive (AD) through Oct. 3. It would supersede AD 2020-06-12. The new AD would retain the existing actions while requiring a modification of the main-gearbox suspension bar, an inspection of the torque, and corrective actions, if necessary.
