(General Aviation Manufacturers Association) – A coalition of 15 aviation groups, including VAI, sent a letter to transportation leaders in the US government today, Mar. 12, urging them to work together with industry stakeholders to minimize disruptions in the aviation supply chain.

The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has awarded $6.7 million to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for research focused on equipping advanced air mobility aircraft to respond to unexpected events and emergencies in real time.

The company assembled its first full-scale prototype in mid-2024 and advanced initiatives last year to help establish an ecosystem for its electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

The pilot program will see the advanced air mobility provider team with Skyports Infrastructure on a helicopter transfer service from Downtown Manhattan Heliport (KJRB) to John F. Kennedy International Airport (KJFK).
