(Nigerian Tribune) – A Sikorsky S-76 operated by East Wind Aviation went down Oct. 24 into the Atlantic Ocean near Bonny, Rivers, Nigeria. Local authorities have confirmed three people died in the accident as they continue to search for five other people on board.

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which becomes effective Nov. 12, 2024, retains the requirements of a superseding AD while expanding the applicability and updating the reference materials. The AD requires inspections of certain Pacific Scientific Co. rotary buckle assemblies.
