The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has initiated a yearlong cargo drone trial with Skyports Drone Services and the New York City Economic Development Corp. The program, which focuses on validating repeatable time-sensitive medical logistics in a dense urban corridor, will test middle‑mile transport of nonhazardous cargo over the East River.
