(WNBC) – Amid calls from local politicians to end nonessential helicopter flights in New York City following an Apr. 10 helicopter crash into the Hudson River, Mayor Eric Adams said the following day that he does not support additional restrictions on air travel and cited the city’s efforts to support electric aircraft flights.

Uplift Central Coast has awarded a $550,000 grant to Ventura County to establish an advanced air mobility (AAM) innovation center, including an AAM testing range at Camarillo Airport (KCMA) and Oxnard Airport (KOXR).
