Colorado crew hoists climber trapped on ridge (VIDEO)

(KCNC) – A Colorado Army National Guard Sikorsky Black Hawk crew airlifted a climber who became trapped on a narrow ridge Dec. 31 near Citadel Peak. Alpine Rescue Team led the rescue effort, which also involved an initial assessment by a Flight for Life helicopter crew.

Proposed FAA AD: Airbus Helicopters AS350B series, EC130 B4, and EC130 T2

The FAA is accepting comments through Feb. 23 on this proposed airworthiness directive (AD). It would supersede AD 2022-11-08, issued Jun. 3, 2022. The proposed AD would require revising the airworthiness limitations section of the existing maintenance manual or instructions for continued airworthiness, as well as the existing approved maintenance or inspection program.
