Joby Aviation is in the fourth stage of the FAA type certification process for its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, the company noted in its fourth-quarter 2025 financial results released Feb. 25.

This airworthiness directive (AD) requires repetitively inspecting the overhead panel and repairing or replacing damaged wires, if necessary. It also requires modifying the overhead panel on certain helicopters. The AD takes effect Apr. 2, 2026.

The company’s net income was $129.1 million last year, an increase over the 2024 total of $94.8 million, according to its fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results. Revenue increased from $1.4 billion to $1.5 billion for the full year.
