Skyryse reports healthy demand for fly-by-wire Skyryse One

El Segundo, California–based Skyryse is reporting that reservations for the first edition of its Skyryse One, an uncrewed version of the Robinson R66 that uses fly-by-wire controls, have sold out in six months. The company anticipates the start of deliveries in 2025.

An early analysis by the Air Safety Institute (ASI) of an Oct. 20 accident in which a Robinson R44 struck a radio tower in downtown Houston, Texas, includes an examination of the flight as well as areas the National Transportation Safety Board will likely investigate to determine a probable cause. Four people died in the accident.
