Oregon National Guard helicopter crew members completed training with Vita Inclinata to integrate the Vita hoist rescue system into air medical operations.

Recoil Aerospace has received an FAA supplemental type certificate (STC) to install its 790-gal. tank on the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk. The STC is applicable to all UH-60 variants and the S-70 Black Hawk.

The FAA is seeking comments by Aug. 7 on this airworthiness directive (AD), which requires removing the expandable blade bolts from service and replacing them. The AD, effective Jul. 8, also prohibits the installation of an affected expandable blade bolt on any helicopter.

Representatives from the European Heli Center (EHC) and Reiser met Jun. 12 at Reiser’s headquarters in Berg, Bavaria, Germany, to start a project to provide an Airbus H135/H145 Level D full flight simulator for the planned EHC training facility at Lelystad Airport (EHLE) in Flevoland, the Netherlands.
