(ABC News) – Farmers in northern Wheatbelt, Western Australia, are using drones, helicopters, and fixed-wing aircraft to manage their crops from the sky after the region received its average annual rainfall in just eight weeks, making it difficult to use heavy ground equipment.

(CNN) – A helicopter crashed onto the roof of a seaside hotel Aug. 12 in Cairns, Queensland, Australia, resulting in the death of the pilot. Local authorities are working with charter operator Nautilus Aviation to investigate the unauthorized use of one of its helicopters.
