FAA final rule: Amendments to IFR altitudes

This FAA rule, which takes effect Oct. 31, 2024, adopts miscellaneous amendments to the required IFR altitudes and changeover points for certain federal airways, jet routes, or direct routes for which a minimum or maximum en route authorized IFR altitude is prescribed.

Final FAA AD: Leonardo AB139 and AW139 helicopters

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD) requires repetitive detailed visual inspections of certain tail-rotor damper-bracket assemblies for corrosion and cracks and, depending on the results, taking corrective action. The AD, which also prohibits installing an affected tail-rotor damper-bracket assembly unless it is new, becomes effective Nov. 12, 2024.

Final FAA AD: Leonardo A119 and AW119 MkII helicopters

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which supersedes AD 2021-22-05, reduces the applicability to include helicopters with only affected part-numbered collective torque-tube assemblies, reduces the inspection intervals, and removes the previously approved terminating action. It takes effect Nov. 12, 2024.
