(Caliber) – A Yamal Airlines Mi-8 went down about 400 ft. short of its landing site Feb. 21 near Yar-Sale in Western Siberia, resulting in injuries to three people.

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which takes effect Mar. 10, 2026, will supersede AD 2025-07-06, issued Jan. 2, 2025. The updated AD retains the actions required in the existing AD while extending the definition of an affected part to include all serial-numbered nonrotating scissors spherical bearings. The updated AD also prohibits installing affected rotating and nonrotating scissors spherical bearings without first meeting certain requirements.
