Australia’s QPS to add trio of Bell 429s to law enforcement fleet

The contract, announced at this week’s 2025 Avalon Australian International Airshow, will expand the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Bell 429 fleet to a half dozen helicopters. Townsville–based Meridian Helicopters will provide law enforcement services in north Queensland for QPS’s Polair service using the three new Bell 429s.
