Wyoming Bucket names new president

Wyoming Bucket, LLC, an innovator in advanced aerial firefighting equipment, has announced the appointment of Michael Powell as president and a member of its board of directors, effective immediately.

The appointment was announced by Ed Keller, founder and chief executive officer of Wyoming Bucket.

“Michael brings a rare combination of deep industry experience, operational leadership, and strategic insight,” said Keller. “His proven track record in manufacturing and his extensive background in the helicopter firefighting sector position him to play a key role as we transition from prototype validation to commercial production and market expansion.”

Powell is a veteran of the helicopter industry and the former leader of Isolair, a company specializing in aerial firefighting equipment, which he successfully built and sold. His experience includes manufacturing operations, product development, and scaling companies serving aviation and public safety markets.

In addition to his leadership role at Wyoming Bucket, Powell provides consulting services to the helicopter industry, with a focus on manufacturing systems, operational efficiency, and firefighting equipment solutions.

“I’m excited to join Wyoming Bucket at such a pivotal stage,” said Powell. “The company has developed a compelling and innovative solution for aerial firefighting. I look forward to working with Ed and the team to advance commercialization, expand production capabilities, and support the evolving demands of wildfire response.”

Wyoming Bucket has recently completed prototype testing of its advanced long-line helicopter water bucket system. The company is now focused on scaling manufacturing, establishing strategic industry partnerships, and bringing its product to market to meet increasing demand driven by the rising frequency and intensity of wildfires.

With this leadership appointment, Wyoming Bucket strengthens its executive team and governance structure as it positions for growth, potential strategic investment, and commercialization of its proprietary aerial firefighting technology.
