VAI Operator Safety Award highlights accident-free flights. Vertical Aviation International (VAI) is pleased to announce that Over The Top, Ltd. of Queenstown, New Zealand, has been awarded the auspicious VAI Operator Safety Award. The honor recognizes the company’s exceptional commitment to safety and its achievement of accident-free flight operations for the 2023 calendar year. “Over The Top has demonstrated its unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest levels of safety, meeting the stringent criteria set by VAI, and serving as a model of operational excellence in vertical aviation,” says James Viola, president and CEO of the association. “The award is tangible evidence of Choppy Patterson’s leadership and her continuous efforts to maintain a safe environment for its staff and customers.” Based along the eastern edge of New Zealand’s Southern Alps, Over The Top conducts a variety of helicopter charters and tours that combine the country’s natural beauty with sports and lifestyle options.
