EAA Radio talks with VAI, Robinson leaders at EAA AirVenture The new Vertical Lift Center was quite the hit at this year’s Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, attracting a steady stream of visitors throughout the weeklong event. Robinson Helicopter Co. and VAI cosponsored the center, developed in conjunction with EAA as a dedicated AirVenture destination for helicopters, drones, vertical takeoff and lift aircraft, and emerging technology. On Jul. 20, Robinson President and CEO David Smith and VAI President and CEO François Lassale talked with EAA Radio hosts Digital Dave and Fast Eddie about the facility, which featured aircraft displays, educational programming, and career resources designed to raise the visibility of vertical aviation and connect the industry with pilots, mechanics, students, policymakers, and the public.
