Aviation enthusiasts can once again look forward to Enstrom Helicopter Corp.’s participation in EAA AirVenture, Jul. 22–28 at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Enstrom has brought its helicopters to the air show for more than 30 years.

The AW249 next-generation exploration and escort helicopter makes its international public premiere at the Eurosatory show in Paris, France, Jun. 17–21. The combat aircraft will be used by the Italian Army.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has determined that the pilot’s failure to maintain control of the helicopter during an external-load operation resulted in the aircraft’s main rotor blades impacting the tail boom.

Electric vertical takeoff and landing developer Archer Aviation has announced a memorandum of understanding with Signature Aviation focused on electrifying Signature’s network of more than 200 airport terminals. The agreement gives Archer access to takeoff and landing sites in major metropolitan areas across the United States and globally.

Japanese electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft manufacturer SkyDrive has submitted type certificate application of its three-seat eVTOL SkyDrive to the FAA through Japan’s Civil Aviation Bureau.
