VAI Daily Jan. 15, 2025 Proposed FAA AD: Siam Hiller UH-12E (US Army OH-23G and H-23F) and UH-12EL helicopters The FAA is proposing a new airworthiness directive (AD) that would require inspecting certain main-rotor driveshafts for a crack, prohibit installing them unless the inspection is done, and prohibit using certain paint removers. Comments are due on the proposed AD by Feb. 28, 2025.
