VAI Daily Jan. 16, 2026 EASA AD: Airbus Helicopters EC155 This European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) airworthiness directive (AD), ATA 52 – Doors – Jettisonable Windows and Seals on the Sliding Doors and Fixed Panels – Modification, takes effect Jan. 29, 2026. It will supersede AD 2024-0173, released Sep. 4, 2024. VAI Daily Jan. 16, 2026 Final FAA AD: Airbus Helicopters EC130 B4 and EC130 T2 The FAA is requesting comments by Mar. 2, 2026, on this airworthiness directive (AD), which would supersede AD 2025-23-52, issued Nov. 21, 2025. The updated AD, which would take effect Feb. 2, 2026, requires repetitive inspections of the center-shaft assembly for cracks and replacing the assembly if it fails the inspection or exceeds a certain time-in-service. It would also prohibit installation of a nonservicable center-shaft assembly on any helicopter.
