Human trafficking awareness: Recognize the signs
VAI is proud to partner with the US Department of Homeland Security’s Blue Lightning Initiative (BLI), a program that trains aviation personnel to recognize potential signs of human trafficking and report suspected trafficking to federal law enforcement.
More than 350,000 aviation personnel have completed BLI training to date, and aviation professionals continue to provide actionable information to law enforcement.
As part of an industry that plays an important role in transportation, aviation professionals are in a unique position to recognize potential signs of human trafficking. The training takes just 25 minutes to complete and provides practical information on what to look for and how to report concerns.
We encourage all VAI members to take this free training course and learn how you can help identify the signs of human trafficking and potentially make a difference.
