Help shape VAI’s FAA reauthorization priorities

Congress periodically passes legislation known as FAA reauthorization to authorize FAA programs, establish aviation policy priorities, and make changes to federal aviation law. The current FAA reauthorization expires on Sep. 30, 2028, with Congress expected to start considering new legislative proposals in early 2027.

VAI is preparing our core legislative priorities for the 2028 FAA reauthorization bill. The reauthorization process also allows us to address challenges or other issues facing the industry. As such, we are seeking input from our members on operational challenges or ideas on how to improve the future of vertical aviation. We want to hear from you!

From now through Dec. 31, 2026, we invite you to submit policy proposals you would like VAI to review using our FAA Reauthorization Proposal Form.

Please note: Submission of a proposal does not guarantee that VAI will adopt, endorse, or advocate for a particular proposal.

Please contact advocacy@verticalavi.org with any questions.
