VAI staff member elected to board of Eastern Region Helicopter Council VAI Northeastern US Regional Representative Josh Rousseau was elected to the Eastern Region Helicopter Council (ERHC) Board of Directors at the organization’s annual meeting Sep. 5–6 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. United by a common passion, purpose, and goals, VAI and the ERHC continue to lead the vertical aviation industry in the New York–New Jersey metropolitan region with strength and resilience—just what’s needed here, at the crossroads of innovation, regulation, integration, and safety, says Rousseau. The ERHC’s annual meeting, which enjoyed a record number of attendees this year, is one of the most important vertical aviation gatherings in the Northeast US because of the number of local and regional companies, operators, pilots, and stakeholders that participate. Attendees learn about the issues affecting their daily lives and businesses and how they can help advance industry priorities, which is all the more important for strengthening an already solid partnership in the Northeast US. VAI is proud of its ongoing advocacy efforts and collaboration with industry partners as we forge ahead seeking—and obtaining—real results on issues of community compatibility, airspace integration, business growth/job creation/workforce development, and positive health and environmental outcomes.
