Robinson names GPMS International HUMS provider for R88

ATLANTA – MARCH 10, 2026 – GPMS International, Inc. and Robinson Helicopter Company (RHC) have engaged in an exclusive agreement to provide Health and Usage Monitoring (HUMS) for Robinson’s 10-seat helicopter, the R88. A first for the single-engine helicopter market, GPMS’s Foresight MX HUMS will be standard equipment, providing operators with continuous visibility into aircraft health from day one.

Foresight’s advanced analytics shift maintenance from reactive to predictive and proactive, helping reduce unscheduled downtime and lowering operating costs.  The system provides automated over-the-air uploads after each flight and a browser-based interface accessible from anywhere, ensuring the R88 delivers on its promise of world-class reliability and simplified field support in high-utilization environments.

“The R88 was built on the belief that operators shouldn’t have to choose between capability and cost,” said David Smith, President and CEO of Robinson Helicopter Company. “Readily available parts and predictable maintenance have always been at the foundation of Robinson’s support strategy, and this agreement with GPMS takes that further. Foresight MX gives our customers a continuous, near real-time view of critical components that simply was not possible before. With that insight, R88 operators and our product support team can identify issues earlier, and make faster, smarter decisions on how to keep their aircraft flying.”

The agreement provides R88 customers with two monitoring tiers to match operational needs.  All R88 operators receive Level 1 monitoring free for five years, delivering key summary level aircraft health indicators for drivetrain, engine, rotor track and balance, and flight data.  Free for the first year of service, operators also receive Level 2 monitoring, delivering deeper diagnostic insight for critical components, predicted Remaining Useful Life (RUL) calculations, and providing optimized rotor track and balance adjustment solutions.

The Robinson R88 is a versatile, single-engine utility helicopter designed for individual owners, commercial operators and public service agencies seeking a high-capacity, cost-effective alternative to more expensive turbine models. Engineered for mission diversity, it serves as a robust platform for aerial firefighting, air medical transport (HEMS), utility work, and executive passenger transport, accommodating up to ten occupants or a 1,800-pound payload with full fuel. Its design emphasizes adaptability through a highly configurable “flat floor” interior and a truck-bed style rear door for easy cargo and stretcher loading.

“Making Foresight MX HUMS standard equipment on the R88 marks a significant milestone not only for GPMS and Robinson, but for the industry as a whole,” said Ronnie Ries, Vice President of Marketing at GPMS. “HUMS has been identified by numerous helicopter safety organizations as one of the most impactful technologies available to reduce accidents and improve safety. We are proud to partner with Robinson Helicopter Company to deliver this capability to every R88 operator.”

Major public service agencies, energy sector, and resource extraction companies already require or are moving toward HUMS mandates as contract requirements, giving R88 operators a distinct competitive edge from day one. With Foresight MX standard-equipped at delivery, operators can immediately meet those requirements without the delays or costs of retrofitting. Beyond contract eligibility, the continuous health data generated by Foresight MX helps minimize operational and lifecycle costs while enhancing the long-term asset value of the aircraft. Operators can also provide their insurers with verified maintenance records and documented component condition history, which can support insurability determinations and potentially justify lower risk premiums.
