GPMS International expands Foresight MX HUMS to CH-47D GPMS is pursuing an Approved Model List (AML) STC to extend STC eligibility to other commercial CH-47D type certificates Waterbury, VT – GPMS International, Inc. announced today that it has received FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SR12015SE for its industry leading Health and Usage Monitoring System, Foresight MX, for the CH-47D helicopter. The approval was developed in partnership with Columbia Helicopters, Inc., with the first aircraft in operation at PJ Helicopters. GPMS is now pursuing an Approved Model List (AML) STC to extend Foresight MX eligibility to the other commercial CH-47D type certificates, enabling the broader global Chinook fleet to take advantage of the system without the time and cost of individual engineering approvals. “Foresight MX plays an important part in how we manage aircraft health across our fleet,” said Travis Spooner, Vice President of Maintenance at PJ Helicopters. “We started with the Bell 407, expanded to the UH-60, and now with the CH-47D we have consistent, real-time visibility across all of our platforms in a single system. That kind of fleet-wide insight is invaluable. The CH-47D is a complex, high-capacity machine and while we are still building our experience with the platform, having Foresight MX on board means the aircraft itself is helping us learn. With the data it provides, we can build a deeper understanding of how these aircraft perform and age across our entire Chinook fleet faster than we ever could on our own.” “The CH-47D is the most capable heavy-lift helicopter in commercial service today and Foresight MX is the only non-OEM HUMS available for the platform,” said Ronnie Ries, Vice President of Marketing at GPMS. “Having our system on these aircraft isn’t just a performance enhancement, it’s a force multiplier for safety and operational readiness. When you’re operating in remote terrain fighting wildfires or moving extremely heavy loads in areas with no infrastructure, knowing the health of your drivetrain and rotor systems in real time can be the difference between a successful mission and a catastrophic outcome. We want to thank Columbia Helicopters and PJ Helicopters in helping us bring this capability to the CH-47D fleet.” Visit GPMS Booth B6018 at Verticon 2026 in Atlanta, or email info@gpms-vt.com to learn more.
