FAASTeam webinar, Saturday, Mar. 21: ASIAS The United States Helicopter Safety Team (USHST) is participating in an FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) Saturday Morning Coffee and Wings safety webinar about the FAA’s Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) program. The virtual event will begin at 10:00 am eastern (UTC-4) this Saturday, Mar. 21. In this session, Chris Baur, ATP, CFII, and USHST industry cochair, will explain how the FAA and industry partners use de-identified flight data to determine risk trends, detect emerging hazards, and develop data-driven safety improvements. Participants will gain a better understanding of how voluntary data sharing supports proactive risk mitigation and helps prevent accidents before they occur. This session is for all general aviation pilots, instructors, students and operators.
