The United States Helicopter Safety Team (USHST) has presented a designated pilot examiner (DPE) welcome letter to Jason Spears, a new helicopter pilot. The new program is designed to help increase awareness among new pilots about the resources that USHST offers.
USHST Steering Committee member Tim Tucker, a distinguished helicopter DPE, developed the welcome letter, with USHST Industry & Government Co-Chairs Chris Baur and Robert Reckert also signing. Baur, Reckert, and Tucker recently hosted a FAA Safety Team webinar on the new Airman Certification Standards, which you can watch here.
