At the May 6 HAI@Work webinar, presented as the annual HAI Safety Symposium, experts from the NTSB and other safety-focused organizations, including HAI, analyzed the Bell 407 accident that occurred on Jan. 29, 2019. Typically held at HAI HELI-EXPO® and jointly produced by HAI, the FAA, and the NTSB, the symposium examines safety trends in the helicopter industry. Our panelists included Matt Cabak, team lead of the Accident Investigation Division of the FAA Office of Accident Investigation and Prevention; Clint Johnson, chief of the NTSB’s Alaska Aviation Regional Office; Rick Kenin, COO for Transport at Boston MedFlight and chair of the HAI Safety Working Group; Matt Rigsby, air safety investigator at the FAA Office of Accident Investigation and Prevention; and Shaun Williams, senior aviation accident investigator for the NTSB’s Central Region. #haiexpo
