During the Jun. 24 HAI@Work webinar, HAI President and CEO James Viola and panelist Eric Jacobs, HAI #FlyNeighborly / Environmental Working Group member, shared valuable tips on how to mitigate the noise signature from a Robinson #R44. Eric also gave an overview of the FAA Safety Team’s Introduction to Fly Neighborly training course; explained blade-vortex interaction (BVI), which is a principal source of the distinctive sound signature of helicopters; played sound clips that compared the noise signatures of constant versus decelerating descents; spoke about five sources of rotor noise; and much more!
