Advisory council topics range from workforce development to noise abatement to proposed regulations to the rising cost of aviation insurance, and more. Some councils focus on specific industry sectors, such as aerial firefighting, air medical, helicopter tours, utility, and unmanned aircraft systems. Joining an industry advisory council is a way for VAI members to contribute their expertise and become leaders in the vertical aviation industry. Many advisory councils will hold meetings at VERTICON 2025 (formerly HAI HELI-EXPO®) Mar. 10–13 (exhibits open Mar. 11–13), 2024, in Dallas, Texas, so that members can learn about their activities.
