Ryan Aerospace, Vertex Solutions to display AH-64 trainer in Norway RYAN AEROSPACE (Australia) and Vertex Solutions (United States) will once again be joining forces to exhibit at IT2EC in Oslo from 25-27 March 2025. The two companies have worked on a range of projects together over the last five years, pioneering scaled development of virtual and mixed reality flight simulators (both fixed wing and rotary wing) to the world’s leading military organizations and will be presenting their latest products at IT2EC next week. IT2EC is Europe’s largest military simulation and training event. Firstly, there will be the Generation 2 Immersive Training Device (ITD). With hundreds of Gen 1 products already in service with the US Air Force, US Navy and other customers, this new device offers unparalleled sophistication with more modularity and reconfigurability. The key differentiator with this new device is that most parts are adjustable using electric actuators. This means the seat and the rudder pedals can easily be moved into the correct position to match the real aircraft type. Whether configured as a T-38, F-16, or F-22, the new ITD allows the user to be in the correct seating position with correct design eye-point which is very important, especially for mixed reality devices. Additionally, the system is fully configurable as either a virtual reality or mixed reality training solution, providing maximum flexibility to meet diverse training requirements. The side panel pods and main instrument panel are also modular allowing quick and easy configuration between aircraft. Each module is completely independent with its own power supply, powered USB hub and ethernet switch. For this exhibition, the ITD will be in an F-16 configuration. We will also be showcasing our AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter Mixed Reality Training Device with enhanced features and functionality. Whilst only a small footprint, this device is packed full of features and functions that provide excellent mission rehearsal training scenarios. Managing Director Chris Ryan said today “Working very closely with Vertex Solutions and other partners in the US, pre-orders have already been taken and we are about to deliver the first of a number of devices in a T-38 configuration to the US Air Force for their Fighter Bomber Fundamentals training course (pictured).” “Our partnership with Ryan Aerospace continues to push the boundaries of immersive training. Air Force acceptance testing of our first six mixed reality T-38 Gen 2 ITDs has resulted in orders for 25 additional T-38 simulators, underscoring the confidence the Air Force has for their effectiveness in pilot training. Our new contract with BAE Systems UK for the Gen 2 ITD further highlights the global demand for cutting-edge mixed reality solutions, and we’re excited to showcase these advancements at IT2EC”, said Sandra Reiter, Principal Owner, Chairwoman, and CEO of Vertex Solutions. The new ITD Gen 2 and Apache Mixed Reality Simulator will be available for viewing on the RYAN AEROSPACE / Vertex Solutions booth #C-14 at IT2EC
