VAI Member Roundtable, Apr. 20: GENOT Check-In and Heli Route Reviews VAI will hold a member roundtable on Monday, Apr. 20, at 4:00 pm eastern (UTC-4) to continue our discussion on implementation of the FAA’s visual-separation General Notice (GENOT) and to outline the helicopter route reviews the agency will be conducting at major airports this year. The roundtable will include a check-in on how GENOT implementation is affecting operations, including ongoing issues related to air traffic control training, staffing, and consistency across facilities. We will also discuss the FAA’s dissemination of helicopter route “hot spot” data and the timeline for the annual helicopter route review process that will follow.
