Successors will advise on emerging technology and legal matters.

The Vertical Aviation International (VAI) Board of Directors has appointed two advisors.

Michael Romanowski

Michael Romanowski of Slate Run Strategies, LLC, will assume the role of special advisor–emerging technology, succeeding Jonathan Daniels, Praxis Aerospace Concepts International, Inc. This position serves as a resource to the VAI Board of Directors on developments, trends, and best practices for emerging technology operations.

Arthur L. Herold of the firm Webster, Chamberlain & Bean, LLP, in Washington, D.C., becomes legal advisor, succeeding H. Bryan Brewer III, of Crowell & Moring, LLP, Washington, D.C. In this role, Herold will provide legal counsel to the VAI Board of Directors.

“We extend our deep appreciation to both Bryan and Jonathan for their service to the VAI Board,” says James Viola, president and CEO of VAI. “Their expertise and guidance provided VAI with timely support during a period when the industry and our organization were undergoing significant changes. We are grateful for their service.”

As advisors to the VAI Board, Herold and Romanowski are tasked as subject-matter experts with providing guidance and support to the board and the VAI management team. “We look forward to what Arthur and Michael will add to benefit our association’s growth,” says Viola. “Both men have stellar resumes, and we know their advice will be based on their substantial knowledge and experience.”

Romanowski and Herold will serve one-year terms that begin Jul. 1, 2024.
