Two Bear Air Rescue Foundation advances toward ORRA Bronze Level The organization’s progress in the VAI and VLinc Corp. Operational Risk and Resilience Accreditation (ORRA) program demonstrates its commitment to safety. Vertical Aviation International (VAI) and VLinc Corp. proudly recognize the Two Bear Air Rescue Foundation for its significant progress toward safer operations through its advancement in the Operational Risk and Resilience Accreditation (ORRA) program. ORRA is a comprehensive safety improvement initiative that helps organizations establish effective protocols to mitigate risks. Since 2014, Montana-based Two Bear Air Rescue has provided free aviation support for search-and-rescue operations across western Montana, northern and central Idaho, and eastern Washington and Oregon. “We congratulate the Two Bear Air Rescue Foundation on its commitment to enhancing safety through the ORRA program,” said Chris Hill, VAI’s senior director of safety. “Search-and-rescue operations are dynamic and inherently high risk. Partnering with VAI and VLinc, the ORRA program has enabled Two Bear Air Rescue Foundation to recalibrate our approach and refine the deployment of safety practices. Utilizing the guided ORRA self-assessment has been an invaluable tool, allowing us to step back and place an emphasis on safety,” says James Heckman, chief pilot of Two Bear Air Rescue Foundation. “We are thrilled to receive such positive feedback and look forward to supporting Two Bear Air Rescue Foundation as it continues its journey to Bronze Level Accreditation,” says Janis Nagy, CEO of VLinc. The ORRA program is designed to meet the diverse needs of aviation operators of all sizes, offering a robust yet flexible framework that fosters continuous growth, advancement, and safety improvement. The program is easy to start, supports operators at any stage of safety management system implementation, and includes personalized coaching to ensure a clear path to process improvement.
