PHI Air Medical celebrates 20-year anniversary of Texas base PHI Air Medical, a leading provider of air ambulance services, is celebrating 20-years of operations of its base in Victoria, Texas, with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Victoria Chamber of Commerce at the PHI Air Medical Victoria Base, April 8. “Do come and meet your local team, including our highly trained 7 clinical members, 2 mechanics, and 4 pilots,” said Wayne Mallick, PHI Air Medical Base Supervisor at the Victoria base, ahead of the event. “Together, they play a vital role in providing specialized medical care to 113,724 PHI Cares members across Texas who are covered for out-of-pocket expenses when being transported by PHI Air Medical helicopters. The PHI Cares municipal program has helped save the lives of thousands of critical patients across the region.” PHI is dedicated to delivering evidence-based care during transport and collaborates with local hospitals to elevate patient care standards. The Victoria base clinical staff are trained to handle specialty equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Hi-Flow oxygen, and all flights carry whole blood on board. To further show their dedication to the community, PHI actively participates in and hosts community programs designed to enhance safety including landing zone safety classes, EMT refreshers, and pre-hospital critical care classes. “Over the past 20 years, our team has been steadfast in our commitment to providing the highest level of care to patients in their most vulnerable moments,” continued Wayne Mallick. “We are immensely grateful for the trust placed in us by healthcare partners, first responders, and the community at large.” PHI Air Medical invites the community to join in commemorating this special occasion.
