Metro aims to deliver 1st air medical H160 in US and gain STC in 2026 Metro Aviation is set to deliver the first EMS-configured Airbus H160 in the United States, with plans to secure a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) by the first quarter of 2026. “We are proud to be part of this groundbreaking project,” said Amy McMullen, Metro’s Director of Aircraft Configuration. “Our team has worked closely with H160 EMS customers and Airbus engineers, even traveling to France to experience the aircraft firsthand, ensuring we deliver exactly what our customers need.” The H160 is already in service worldwide in various configurations, including commercial passenger transport, public services, and private aviation. Designed for both comfort and efficiency, the aircraft features a spacious cabin and enhanced cockpit visibility, significantly improving situational awareness for pilots.
