Colorado-area businesses: Help shape the next generation of A&P techs! The future of the vertical flight industry depends in part on the next generation of skilled aviation maintenance technicians, but tomorrow’s workforce needs the help of today’s professionals to achieve their career goals. VAI is looking for companies interested in providing internships, apprenticeships, and other career opportunities for students in the Aircraft Maintenance Technician program at Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado. The program offers an associate of applied science degree and prepares students to earn their FAA airframe & powerplant (A&P) certificate. The curriculum meets 14 CFR Part 147 requirements and provides the foundational training needed to maintain both airplanes and helicopters. Students also gain experience with small unmanned aircraft systems, inspections, avionics, hydraulics, aircraft structures, and other critical maintenance disciplines. Aims students train in the state-of-the-art, 56,000-sq.-ft. Aircraft Maintenance Training Center at Northern Colorado Regional Airport, where they receive extensive hands-on experience with aircraft and industry-standard equipment. If your business is located in Colorado or a neighboring state, this is a great opportunity to connect with motivated students, strengthen your talent pipeline, and help build the workforce our industry needs for the future. Whether you’re looking to fill internship positions, identify future employees, or simply support workforce development, your participation can make a lasting difference. This is your opportunity to make a real impact! If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to Katia Veraza at KatiaV@verticalavi.org. Together, we can help inspire and prepare the next generation of vertical aviation maintenance professionals.
