The FAA is accepting comments through Sep. 19 on this proposed airworthiness directive (AD), which would require inspecting and measuring certain check valves and removing cracked or leaking valves from service. The AD would also prohibit installing affected check valves on any helicopter.

The FAA special conditions outline additional safety standards for Sikorsky S-61A, L, and N helicopters with a Carson Helicopters hoist overload protection device (OLPD).

In partnership with CITIC Offshore Helicopters and China National Offshore Oil Corp., the company completed its first cargo delivery to an offshore vessel using its CarryAll electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

The Burgos, Spain–based company will build the full airframe, including the fuselage, wings, pylons, and empennage, for the Vertical Aerospace VX4 hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.
