The newest aircraft will be stationed at the critical-care transport service’s Lancaster, Pennsylvania, base, joining two other Airbus H155 aircraft.

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-25-14, which applied to certain Airbus Helicopters Model EC130 T2 helicopters. That AD revised the procedures for inspecting the vibration level on the tail-rotor driveshaft and, depending on the results, required replacing certain parts. The new AD, effective Sep. 18, 2026, involves changes regarding various modifications the manufacturer made after the original rule was issued.

(Urban Air Mobility) – Indonesia’s Whitesky Aviation on Aug. 12 ordered 60 AutoFlight electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, according to a company LinkedIn post. Earlier this month, Whitesky placed a similar order for 60 VE25-100 eVTOL aircraft from Volant Aerotech.

(Space.com) – The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) SkyFall mission will send a trio of mini rotorcraft to Mars equipped with ground-penetrating radar technology that happens to look like little capes. NASA plans to launch the mission to the Red Planet in 2028.

(DroneLife) – Archer First Response Systems is supporting a drone program designed to deliver whole blood directly to emergency scenes in Hillsborough County, Florida. The program aims to deliver whole blood to severe hemorrhagic trauma scenes in under three minutes on average.

The US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) is easing export controls on certain unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs, or drones) and related parts, components, accessories, attachments, technology, and software under the Export Administration Regulations. The rule took effect Aug. 13, 2026.

(AIN) – Israeli electric aircraft developer Air plans to begin manufacturing electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in Florida by the end of this year under a partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation, the company announced Aug. 11.

AirSuite will develop a new ground management system with Wisk Air Helicopters to improve coordination between air and ground operations, with support from the Government of Ontario (Canada) through the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network.

This helicopter, as modified by Skyryse, will have a novel design feature compared with the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for normal category helicopters, replacing the mechanical flight controls with a digital fly-by-wire system. These special conditions, effective Sep. 11, 2026, contain the additional standards necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that of existing airworthiness standards.
