This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which takes effect Feb. 18, requires revising the existing rotorcraft flight manual following reports of a cracked main-gearbox support case. The FAA is accepting comments on the AD through Mar. 20.

Japan, Brazil governments to cooperate on electric aircraft

(Urban Air Mobility News) – Officials from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism and the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil signed an agreement Feb. 2 to partner on electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, including developing policies, certification, and technical standards for safety.
